Product description

  • Flexible for higher peel strength and improved vibration resistance
  • Ensures that strong adhesion is maintained during expansion, contraction and limited movement
  • Minimal bleeding, dripping or migration thanks to medium viscosity
  • Flows smoothly for precise application where needed
  • Effective adhesive system for bonding, joining, gluing, fixing, assembling, encapsulating, pouring and sealing

We have specially formulated our 3M Scotch-Weld Epoxy Adhesive 125 as a low-odour two-component epoxy adhesive that creates strong structural and flexible bonds on metal, ceramics, wood and many plastics. This adhesive provides the reliability and strength needed to achieve consistently productive, cost-effective results.

Our 3M Scotch-Weld Epoxy Adhesive 125 is a versatile medium-viscosity epoxy adhesive that pours easily with minimal dripping, overflow and migration, and flows smoothly for controlled, precise application. This adhesive's flexibility makes it ideal for applications with dissimilar surfaces where coefficients of expansion play a role, such as when bonding glass to metals. Flexible, high strength Compared to normal 5-minute epoxy adhesives, this flexible product with a longer processing time offers better performance for bonding plastics and glass, less odour, and flexibility for higher peel and impact resistance. The mix ratio is 1:1 and the adhesive offers a 25-minute processing time, giving you ample time to position and adjust before the product cures. The adhesive reaches processing strength within about 2.5 hours and is fully cured within 7 days (at 22 °C/72 °F). This adhesive is available in a variety of pack sizes, depending on user needs and task. What are epoxy adhesives? Epoxy adhesives are part of the adhesive class called 'Structural Adhesives', which also includes polyurethane, acrylate, cyanoacrylate and other adhesives. Epoxy adhesives are formulated as liquid reactive polymers that undergo a chemical chain reaction when mixed. They then harden into a solid plastic material. Once the two components are mixed in the specified ratio, the curing process begins where you have a limited processing time in which to apply the adhesive and move the two surfaces into the desired position. This processing time varies from a few minutes to 48 hours or more. Depending on the specific formula, this class of structural adhesives can offer very high shear and peel strength and better resistance to heat and chemicals than other commonly used adhesives. Epoxy adhesives are widely used in a variety of industrial applications in the automotive, aerospace, white goods, metalworking, sporting goods and electrical industries, among others; in virtually any application where high-strength adhesion combined with resistance to environmental conditions is required.
